Poll: Is the NFL rigged?

Almost every thread on here turns into or had posts that the NFL is rigged. Its wrestling. Pre-ordered outcomes are being dictated from the NFL office to teams.

Lets see how many of us publicly believe the NFL is rigged. Vote on your definition of what is "rigged", what constitutes altering outcomes on purpose etc.

As with everything in life, the answer is somewhere in between. It's not black and white like everyone likes to make it out to be.

Of course every single game is not scripted and they don't predetermine which teams are going to be in the playoffs or any garbage like that. However, certain games are obviously steered via officiating in some cases to lead to certain results. By whom, I don't claim to know. Could be a league decision, could be for gambling reasons, whatever. I've seen enough of it to know when it occurs. If you don't think it does, then you're just extremely naive and don't live in the real world or understand the kind of corruption that takes place when billions of dollars are involved.

And of course, they aren't outright telling officials to "rig" anything. They are just told to call certain games in certain ways and as part time peons, they are just doing what they're told. I do think that legalizing gambling and the NFL getting in bed with that market is going to lead to a lot more corruption in the future, though. It's not a good path to be taking.

As for this narrative that Mahomes and Reid are involved and threw the game against the Bengals, that shit needs to die now. Pat clearly had a concussion after tackling that d-lineman on the pick in the first half and was completely out of it mentally. That's all that occurred there along with our defense not being able to stop a Pop Warner squad.

To sum it up, the league as whole is not rigged WWE style, but obviously there is internal corruption like with every other multi-billion dollar entity that exists solely to make as much money as humanly possible. It's really not that far fetched.

That's been discussed hundreds of times by now and would have been a far better indicator of where people are at.... because someone defining rigged as a scripted effort voting for the same "yes" as someone who thinks refs sometimes decide the outcome of games is pretty pointless. Might as well ask for a favorite car color and only have black or white, choose the closest one.

- Scripted down to the last detail (everyone knows, including players)
- NFL predetermines outcomes and uses coaches and refs to rig games (players don't know)
- NFL predetermines outcomes through only the refs
- NFL attempts to steer certain games for various reasons and does so through corrupt refs (players and coaches don't know)
- NFL attempts to steer certain games for Vegas odds and does so through corrupt refs
- NFL attempts to steer certain games through incompetent ref crews or strategies (assigning ref crews based on whether their calls tend to benefit or hurt a team), and the refs don't know they're being used in that way (only NFL leadership knows).
- NFL unintentionally steers games by dictating what a ref crew should concentrate on or in other ways.
- NFL does nothing to rig/steer/determine outcomes of games.

Very simple and not the least bit far fetched. Hell, I'd almost say the NFL would be foolish not to steer results if they think it's going to lead to more entertaining outcomes.

I mean, that's why we all watch right? Not really that crazy if you think about it.

I would have always come here, guns blazing, calling anyone who says "yes" or "maybe" a wacko because OF COURSE the NFL is not rigged.

.......but after that second half performance from Patrick, I really do not know. It still does not feel right to me. The dissonance is real. And because of that, I do not know, so maybe.

Was the hiring of Scott Pioli, Todd Haley, and Matt Cassel rigged?

Its clear we were not supposed to win that game, Mahomes and Kelce ignored the NFL rigging committee decision.

There have absolutely been times when it's been pushed the Chiefs' way, and I feel bad for the other teams in those cases too.

St Louis got rigged. The Pats cheat. The refs are incompetent. The NFL is consumed with greed. Hard evidence still missing

What games were these? When Chiefs won SB? The Bills playoff game from this postseason? Texans playoff game? Lmk...

just saying if you feel NFL is rigged might as well not celebrate when Chiefs win.. what's the point? It was predetermined anyway... no real accomplishment there

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. Too much money involved for there not to be some influences here and there. Unfortunately, with legalized gambling getting going, I expect it to get worse.
