I don't recall him being owned at all...infact he made a lot of tackles from what I remember.

With the play the Chiefs got from their LBers the last couple of years it looks like BV hit the position group with draft picks and also bringing a low cost/high ceiling 2nd chance veteran project. Not as obvious a fix as the OL but working on it none the less.
