Check your lot numbers. Many lots were contaminated with a possible Carcinogen. If you've had it filled since April 2018 its probabably contaminated. Here is a list but to be safe just check with your pharmacist , they can pull it up and give you a yes or no.

I took about 60 days worth, the pharmacy told me to take whats left to the fire dept for disposal. I said yeah right. I'm keeping the evidence.

Also I don't know if there is a correlation but I've been on Valsartan for the past year or so as well as hydrochlorathalidone. For HBP. I told the doctor I was suffering from extreme dry mouth and was having trouble swallowing. He switched me to a single pill Valsartan/HCTZ. 12 days later I was driving, hauling 2 ton boulders to a customer and all of the sudden I completely lost my vision. It only lasted for about 4 seconds but ever since I've had pain in my eyeballs , pain in my head , dizziness, my balance is ****ed up and horrible panic attacks.

I had gone to the pharmacy for a refill and they told me that med had been recalled. I pulled up side affects of this med and those symptoms are all listed. But thats when I learned it was recalled due to a contamination with a known carcinogen. The doc gave me a new med and I said **** that. I'm done with this shit.

The last 6 days I've gone full blown Keto, eat 1 meal a day and working out 3 hours daily, no coffee, no green tea, no alcohol, nothing but water and I've dropped 15 pounds so far. My blood pressure is normal right now and the symptoms are almost gone. If I keep the weight off it'll stay that way.

By the way after investigating , those batches apparently were made in ****ing China. Why in the **** is ANY of our meds coming from China !!!!!!!

High blood pressure has a direct correlation with stroke. You need to find a way to get it down. Caffeine and alcohol both raise it . For me a 10 pound swing in weight is the difference between 160/100 vrs 120/80

My dad called me last week to tell me this. He's been on it daily for about five years. He's not taking the full dose that was listed as being the 1 in 3 risk of developing cancer, so he's figuring he's at a 1 in 12 risk. They said the "bad" pills have been going out for 4 years. He had just gotten a 60 day supply, so he's sending back one bottle, but keeping the remainder of the bottle he had already started.

He's been really tired and having trouble sleeping for a while, but, only a few weeks after starting his replacement medicine, he already noticed an improvement in how he feels.

He said he wanted to make me aware in case he ends up dying from cancer or something.

4 years ! 1 in 3 chance. **** !

Can you share what his replacement is. They gave me olmesartan but I'm not taking it.

There are numerous medications within the ARB or ACEI classes that you can take if you don't have contraindications. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your history and lab values.

I take a combo med called Entresto, that has Valsartan in it. Luckily, looks my med was not affected (at least, not yet).

The FDA information sheet regarding the recall states that if someone took the max dose there is a 1/8000 risk of developing cancer. The average person has a 1/3 risk. I wouldn't freak out.
