Yeah nobody will ever say it publicly but we all know Andy runs this shit. Veach isn’t a yes man, but no doubt about it...it’s Andy Reid is clearly 2nd in command after Clark.

Reid tells Veach go get me a ___ and Veach finds the player. There’s nothing wrong with that approach when you have one of the best HC’s in the business and a GM with an eye for talent. |

How many guys has Veach brought to their attention that they didn’t take?
In the end, Andy’s running the show |

So, John Dorsey, a prime GM candidate that passed up other oppurutnies to be the man in the past, finally left GB to answer to Andy Reid on draft day? Andy Reid all of a sudden became a SPARQ guy? He was coaching and watching 200+ prospects and putting together our draft board? His drafts all of a sudden got way better than when he was actually in charge of personnel in Philly? I don’t doubt that Reid maybe has “final say” on early picks, but he’s still drafting the guys that his GM finds either way. It’s not like Dorsey/Veach do all the dirty work only for Reid to come in and say “I liked so and so when I watched that bowl game I think I’ll just take him instead”. That’s the point I’m trying to make here. Last edited by staylor26; 04-14-2018 at 03:16 PM.. |

Link to actual podcast with Andy and not a list of shitty Itunes links for me to garbage through?
EDIT: Never mind, found it. There is no song good enough nor podcast interesting enough for me to install shitty Itunes on my PC. |

Haha I’m just giving you shit man. I think we agree for the most part. I’m not saying Reid doesn’t have more of the power compared to the average HC/GM duo, but Veach is the one that’s going to find the guys we end up drafting either way, along with his scouting team. Even if Reid has “final say” it’s obvious Reid trusts these guys and lets them do their job, which is why he’s had more success than he did in Philly when he had total control in personnel too.
