Yeah nobody will ever say it publicly but we all know Andy runs this shit. Veach isn’t a yes man, but no doubt about it...it’s Andy Reid is clearly 2nd in command after Clark.

Saying the HC has more power than the GM isn’t the same thing as saying the HC IS the GM.

Reid tells Veach go get me a ___ and Veach finds the player. There’s nothing wrong with that approach when you have one of the best HC’s in the business and a GM with an eye for talent.

I think it’s pretty obvious that is exactly the case based on everything we’ve heard about Veach and Reid’s relationship going back to Philly. Why the **** would Reid be lying for years about Veach bringing guys like Mahomes, Cox, DJax, and McCoy to his attention? And if that’s the case, why didn’t he do the same with a guy like Hunt that he took some credit for?

As somebody that actually loves a good conspiracy, this is the equivalent of the Flat Earth theory.
Reid’s previous gm that’s on twitter says the opposite.

How many guys has Veach brought to their attention that they didn’t take?

In the end, Andy’s running the show

Well since Reid has yet to have a draft with Veach as the GM, of course that would be the case. I’m talking about how this is going to be based on the information at hand.

If you think it’s any different, you’re an idiot. Andy Reid is not scouting 200+ players, watching a shit ton of film, leading scouting discussions, and in charge of making every pick on draft day. He might have a preference between the options Veach has presented, and I’m sure that factors in, but Veach is the guy finding our draft picks.

I don’t doubt that Reid maybe has “final say” on early picks, but he’s still drafting the guys that his GM finds either way. It’s not like Dorsey/Veach do all the dirty work only for Reid to come in and say “I liked so and so when I watched that bowl game I think I’ll just take him instead”. That’s the point I’m trying to make here.

I don’t think he makes the draft boards but I think he does a lot more homework on it than he let’s on.

Andy is one of the higher tenured well respected guys in the league. He’s got a lot of power here so I’d say he has say in about everything

EDIT: Never mind, found it. There is no song good enough nor podcast interesting enough for me to install shitty Itunes on my PC.

Haha I’m just giving you shit man. I think we agree for the most part. I’m not saying Reid doesn’t have more of the power compared to the average HC/GM duo, but Veach is the one that’s going to find the guys we end up drafting either way, along with his scouting team. Even if Reid has “final say” it’s obvious Reid trusts these guys and lets them do their job, which is why he’s had more success than he did in Philly when he had total control in personnel too.
