Mahomes' worst game

Yes, yes, by now we've all seen that crazy OU game and his many, many other incredible games. But what about his bad ones?

I think it's only fair to acknowledge where he's lacking. Lets be honest about Mahomes and not lie to ourselves. There's been some incredible hype around here and for good reason. But in an effort to keep ourselves grounded, lets discuss what he needs to do better so he can actually become that franchise QB we all think he will be.

Early on, i wasn't sold on him. I thought his footwork was awful. The more i watched of him, the more i realized that his footwork, while far from perfect, is actually a STRENGTH of his.

People focus on his footwork and say he needs to fix it. I use to say that. I completely disagree now. His ability to throw off balance is what makes him special. Lets not have him thinking about his steps and feet. Instead, let his natural ability go to work, and focus on other aspects of his game.

So, i present to you the worst game of his collegiate career.

18/36
1TD, 2INTS
50% Completion %
219 Yards
40.8 QBR.

This is what his worst looks like.

Alex had a game in 2003 vs. Southern Miss where he threw for 0 TD's, 1 INT and 124 yards.

He had a game in 2004 vs. BYU where he threw for 1 TD, 2 INT's and 184 yards.

The only thing we're waiting for is for him to learn the playbook. Who the **** cares what his arm angle/delivery/footwork are if he's completing passes.

3 INTs and 124 yards passing and 3 sacks. That's Mahomos stats against Broncos. Is it his worst game? That's debatable...

He can't help it; he's REALLY excited about having a running back for the first time since 1998.

As has been pointed out, that bad game is any given Sunday for Alex. Hell, 200 yards passing and a TD is one of his better weeks.

Trevor Jizz can't beat the Chiefs, and Lynch is no better than Mahomes, getting benched his first year and probably his 2nd.
