I'm not for sure if it was or not. I would assume that would have been something that they brought up in his trial, a reason to specifically target that building. Guess I'll have to read up on it.

I was living in Couer d'Alene ID when ruby ridge was going down. Lots of people were pissed how the Feds handled that.

Halfcan. The book is titled Oklahoma Ghost Dance. Unless I'm mistaken, he won't like this documentary.

I think he would consider it too much the "official" story. He's got a little conspiracy theorist in him.

Watched it last night. Thanks for the rec. I hadn't ever put the correlation to the the other 2 events.

1. I was in 5th grade when the bomb went off. It was good to see all the parts of the story. I remembered most of it but not all.

2. I hadn't heard any of McVeighs questioning there. That was freaking cold man. Dude is crazy. Not just a little either. Jesus.

3. It is remarkable how 1. Crazy, 2. Stupid, people are I think different than a lot of guys but I'm still operating in the real world. The real world left these kind of guys long ago.

Good watch.

Just watched it now and it was really good. The hate that this guy carried is disturbing and sickening.

This is a good show. You should watch the show called Ruby Ridge on Netflix first, IMO, then watch Oklahoma City.

Watching this documentary has pretty much caused me to refrain from posting in DC recently.

When they talked about the social makeup of the groups that inspired McVeigh, it struck waaaay too close to home, as they closely resembled several of our DC posters.

The thought patterns and logic displayed is near identical, and quite frankly, sickening.

I don't think i care to read the thoughts and opinions of people like that anymore. I use to believe it was simply another point of view. Now i think there's something genuinely hateful and wrong about them. It's a thought pattern that's been around too long and is clearly not going anywhere.

And yet you can find a lot of his exact same logic right here in this forum.

I learned that right when it happened. I was in a C-Store when it happened. I asked the clerk what happened, she told me and added "It's about time (or something to that effect)".

Of course I was still living in KC at the time.
