There is zero chance of that. It's either a trade or cut in 2018. There is literally an out in his contract after 2017 that will only be 3.6 million against the cap. They just have to cut him by a certain day or the 20 million hit will kick in

There is less than a zero percent chance that Smith goes to AZ as long as Arians is the coach. And nobody is trading a 2nd round pick for Alex ****ing Smith either.
