Reaching to the side isn't bad. Reaching forward is really stiff and reaching behind is very painful. |

Best part of PT other than the hot blonde therapist was getting the shock treatment on the shoulder. Very relaxing.

This sucks. When I lost my back before i had surgery. I was pissing in a bucket beside my bed and going shit was a hell of an ordeal. I did try to talk her into givin me a blumpkin though.

Hey, I've had both of those already. Even had the hot blonde sit there and continually rub ice on my shoulder for quite a while. That was - weird. They did manage to free up a bothersome trigger point in my neck that had nothing to do with my shoulder so at least I've gotten something out of this so far.

Your shoulder is immobilized by this stupid foam thing until your stitches come out. Hopefully it's not on the same side as the hand you use to wipe your butt, because it's not that easy to wipe with your off hand. Hope that helps. In the overall scheme of surgeries you can have, it's not that bad. |

Also - sounds like installing a bidet before surgery might be helpful.

I hate to be the negative Nelly, but I've had my left shoulder operated on 5 times. Even resorting to total replacement on the last surgery. I'm only 44. I did all the PT and followed instructions, it just didn't work for me. If I could go back to just having the pain and limitations I had before my 1st surgery, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Recently had a grade 3 ac joint separation. Tried PT and it didn't get better. Going for an MRI next week. Doc thinks it might be a torn labrum. If it is, going to try stem cells before surgery.
