Dixon's Chili
I did a little audio job for a good friend of mine, and I'm meeting him for dinner at Dixon's Chili. Dixon's is just about a mile north of Arrowhead on US 40. It's the oldest family owned restaurant in KC, in business since 1919.

I like the tamale spread with juicy style chili. Onions, cheese pickles and (of course) some ketchup.

If you guys like tacos, they have all you can eat tacos every night for $8.

Good place to go before a Royals game and load up.

Chili is like BBQ discussions. Everybody has their favorite way to make it. Some use beef, some use mexican pork sausage, some use shredded pork or beef; some add rotel, some add beans. I myself like all beef, no beans. And I like cheese and diced white onions on it too. And I like to crumble up a few saltines over the top.

I know chili traditionally doesn't have beans. But go to most diners or chili suppers guess what in USofA it will have beans in it 99.9% of the time. I guess take it up with the proprietor. Also seems most chili cook off contest will have beans different meats but usually beans. I like my chili with beans and I will call it Chili so FU chili snobs
