The SF Giants Order Minsky’s for New World Champs

Class Act! :

http://minskys.com/the-giants-order-...ps-the-royals/

The San Francisco Giants just called – and they want to send 25 pizzas to Kauffman Stadium for the Royals and their staff,” said Kenny Kantner, Manager and Partner for Minsky’s at 51st and Main. It was a pretty exciting moment – especially when the Giants wanted to include this note: ‘Have fun planning the parade – and enjoy the ride!’”

After last year’s close final game, it was quite the classy move from the Giants, the Royals 2014 World Series adversary (and eventual world champions).

Within an hour after the call, Minsky’s steaming hot pizzas were on their way to Kauffman Stadium! Some lucky Royals staff members who were busy planning the parade were first to enjoy KC’s best pizzas while they waited for the Royals to arrive home.

One staffer summed it up pretty well: “Today has been nuts and you all are LIFE SAVERS!”

Minsky’s is glad to be a part of the celebration. Welcome back to KC, Royals!

Pretty cool gesture, but do you call ahead to make sure no one has eaten? That would kind of suck if all that pizza got delivered after the group decides today would be the perfect day to splurge for Texas Toms for lunch.

Watching the way Mets fans are behaving towards us makes me glad that all we did was make fun of Sandoval and Marv for being ugly mother****ers, and of course gave Bumgarner a thorough cursing for days after Game 7. The fans and the organization were class after that loss.

I'm now far more appreciative of the Giants, given that they seem to operate much like the Royals do. And if the Royals can't repeat next year, I'd be okay with the Giants winning another one.

I rather hope that the Royals can emulate the Giants and win the World Series every other year for at least six years and counting.

Sorry. I forgot that the experience of the Giants for me living halfway across the country is different from those who live in their territory.

I will likely change my mind as the weeks go on. I'm just caught up in the era of good feelings right now for the Royals, so I feel like being nice. But that will probably change on opening day.

Apparently the Red Sox did it for the Giants last year and SF was just paying it forward. Ruins the whole thing as now Boston people will take credit every year. LOOK AT THIS TRADITION WE STARTED.

Should send them 30 pizzas without paying as a prank.

KC could do something different like buy a bunch of pizza to feed the homeless or something. Then WE'D be the thoughtful charitable team that starts a tradition!
