I don't follow college ball so the only time I saw him a 'Bama was his last year in the National Championship. I didn't see anything special and knew then that Lacy was a much better back.

So you watched that game and saw Richardson run for 96 yards and a TD on 20 carries plus catch two passes and knew that Lacy, a guy who had 43 yards on 11 carries, no TDs, and no receptions was much better?

I think a lot of it was that Lacy was harder to take down. I expected to be wowed by Richardson but was underwhelmed.

Also, I just looked at those stats (which are absolutely correct) and if you take out the 34 yard for Richardson (his longest), he only averaged 3.25 ypc.
