Yost needs to tear into them after the display in Toronto. We are back to only 20 games over 500 with a paltry 8.5 game lead in the division. Our lead for home field advantage is also now only 3.5 games.

Ned needs to do moar yelling.

I bought tickets several months ago to the home game against Detroit next Monday. I was expecting it to be a tight divisional race against them. At least it is now projected to be Cueto's first home start.

I'm 5-6 hours away round trip so I try to plan those mid week trips carefully as it will make for a long Tuesday.

Except for building a bullpen. It's puzzling how he can be so good at everything else and so bad at that.

Could that mean he thinks the Tigers will completely collapse in the last 2 months?

How much stock do you put into the scouting report thing? To me, that's the catcher's job. I don't want my pitcher thinking about scouting reports when he's on the mound. I want him focused on executing whatever pitch the catcher calls.

Besides, it's a lot more efficient to make sure 2 catchers know the scouting reports than 12 pitchers.

I place some in it.

Some guys have such overpowering stuff that they can just do what they do and make the hitters adjust to them (Jose Fernandez is a great example of this, so is Syndergaard).

Once you lose some edge on that stuff, and your fastball isn't a plus-plus pitch any more, now you need to know where to locate it against guys to get same results.

Well their GM was on the last year of his deal anyway. Maybe he wants to take a vacation and miss the next 2 months of losing baseball and answering doomed questions.
