Yeah, he's like 6'4" so at 235 he's basically the NFL equivalent of a beanpole. And that's assuming he IS 235. I've seen as light as 220 as his listed weight.

Anyway, TE is one of our deeper positions with two guys that are locks to make the team, and a couple others who are legit NFL players (though not really GOOD ones), so I imagine they didn't like what they saw so far and decided to cut bait.

There are a lot of teams that could use his production of 5-6 TD's per season.

Sounds to me like Belichick is acting like a hardass, especially with his treatment of CB Malcolm Butler, which may have violated the CBA.

That was complete bullshit.

The dude missed the flight because of circumstances out of his control (weather) and he even called to let the team know. So they banned him from the practice field. Belichick is a dick.

Buccaneers claimed TE Tim Wright off waivers from the Patriots.
Wright returns to Tampa Bay, where he began his career as an undrafted rookie out of Rutgers. It's not a favorable landing spot for Wright's fantasy outlook. He'll compete with Brandon Myers for snaps behind Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Wright might have been intriguing had he landed somewhere like Atlanta.

Belichick is acting like a hardass? He's been a hardass his entire coaching career. This isn't exactly a new development.

Revis was like five minutes late to practice so he sent him home. Ridley fumbled at a rate that wasn't remotely abnormally high for a RB, and got benched repeatedly. Four guys were late to, or missed, practice due to massive snowstorms that crushed the area, and got sent home/punished.

Richard Seymour got back late for practice after going to his grandfather's funeral and was benched for a quarter and a half in a game.

There is no harder ass coach in the NFL than Belichick. He does not give a **** what you think, what I think, or what his players think. You show up ON TIME, no excuses, EVER. And that's the way it ****ing is.

And after a Super Bowl, he's just going to ramp it up higher. YOU THINK YOU'RE HOT SHIT. ENJOY DISNEY DIDYA? YOU GOT THAT NICE RING SO YOU CAN RELAX?! **** YOU, WORK TWICE AS HARD!!! That's basically what he's saying.

Here's his quote immediately after the NFL draft concluded a couple months ago.

Quote:
Welcome to the NFL. That will start Thursday. They’ll get a big dose of New England Patriots football over the next whatever we’ve got, six weeks – however long it is. We’ll give them everything we can in heavy doses, try to get them ready for training camp and they’ll get even more then. The strong will survive. The other ones will fall off. And we’ll keep going.

Surprised the Patriots couldn't cut a deal for a late round pick or something. Can't remember hearing of 10 waiver wire claims on a guy before.
