Let's talk window tint

Decided to have the windows tinted on my Grand Prix daily driver Monday. It's an 01 Grand Prix GTP, 2 door. Dark red, or almost a maroon color.

What percentage should I have the windows tinted? I know 35% is legal on the front windows in Missouri, but was wondering if I could get away with doing 20% all around without attracting too much attention from Johnny Law.

Maybe 35% up front, and 20% on the quarters and rear?

What do you all think?

They can and will. They have a little card/stick thing that they hold up next to the window.

I got 80% on windshield. Plus heavy duty sun visor. Leather still hot today!

YES they can test. But honestly I didn't buy car new so I'll play dumb if it ever happens. It could then remove if needed or just try not to get pulled over again.

I'm definitely doing the windshield as soon as I get the dash replaced on my 07 Tahoe.

Low miles and it's already cracked, common issue though..I've got the new cover just it looks like a total bitch to change. I almost hate working on my own shit lol

Yeah, he even had a prop... had one of those that you slide over both sides of the window after rolling it down some... they don't have the technology!

First car with leather, interested to see how much it all helps if summer ever starts.

I bought a used PT Cruiser with tint on the back and the rear windows. I noticed recently that the front windows will have an odd matrix pattern in bright sunlight. It's very slight and I don't always notice it except in very bright sunlight. Is that some kind of glass treatment that I am unaware of or is the NSA spying on me?

My first car with leather too. She's a bit hotter than I expected but nothing I can't tough out for a few minutes.

First off, why in the **** would you ever buy a PT Loser?

Second, that's probably some cheap UV-blocking clear tint (it could be ceramic but I doubt it bcuz PT Loser).

The car I bought last summer has tinted windows. I don't know what the rating is, but they are wonderful during the day, but a bitch at night.

It was cheap, in very good condition, I like small cars, I like station wagons (which it basically is), it has a manual transmission and I needed an extra car.

I have no idea. The goober that owned it previously put some kind of after market air filter on the thing and spiffy rims. Also a nice sound system. It has unnecessarily expensive touches here and there for no reason, special tinting wouldn't surprise me.

You don't need to justify anything. Stick a surfboard in the back and it's cool as shit.

I thought it was odd looking when I first saw it, but it's fun to drive and roomy inside for such a small car.

I had 20 all the way around on my Camry for about 15 years. Got pulled over a couple of times for speeding, never got ****ed with. When I moved to Kansas, the HP didn't even pay attention to it. I am planning on going to Midwest tint and get 20 all the way around on Malibu.
