good question! I have switched to these harry's razors and I like them. They are made in america and they are a bit less expensive. I got my initials etched into the handle for a few bucks extra. I did not buy the whole shave kit they sell, so I can't say if it is worth it, but the razor and a set of blades have been a good shave for my heavy beard over the past year. for about $25
