Let us keep some perspective

We lost to a team we should have beat. New England, Seattle and Buffalo are all saying the same about us. Denver is saying the same about St. Louis.

We just won 7 out of our last 8.

Fact is we are still 7-4 with an excellent shot at finishing 10-6 or even 11-5. Records no one said we would have this season and that was before losing DJ, DeVito, etc.

We looked tired against the Raiders. Coming off of 2 big wins that were battles to the end then going on the road on 3 days rest and playing in bad weather, well...we lost. We should have won, we could have won but we lost.

10-6 may not get us in this year but it's still nothing to be ashamed of record wise. I think we have 11-5 in us.

It hurts watching us lose that way especially after we battled back after being down 14, twice. If the game is at Arrowhead we most likely are 8-3 but that's how it is.

So enjoy a nice long break, eat some turkey and let's get ready to piss-pound Princess Pey-Pey and the Donks.

These were the exact flaws people were talking about for months. The Alex fans just buried their heads and said "we are winning, who cares how they do it."

Personally, I don't think it is too bad of a loss. They needed to have their shortcomings exposed and now have the opportunity to address it down the stretch rather than in the postseason (assuming their is one).

I assume other teams will follow the Raider blue print and now it's up to Reid and the players to show they can adapt.

What flaws? The Chiefs will have a different passing attack when Avery and Jenkins are back, and a different secondary when Owens and Fleming are back.

The Chiefs don't have much depth and got hurt where it matters most.

Nobody buried their heads about anything. We complimented Alex Smith because he was nails on third down. He wasn't yesterday. We complimented him for closing out games in the second half. He didn't yesterday.

Yesterday was a combination of a short week, injuries, a Raiders team that is far better than their record indicates, and a combination of the worst part of the Chiefs all rearing their ugly head at the same exact time. The second half version of the Chiefs yesterday was not bad. The first half was downright ugly.

When you lose to the Titans and Raiders, the last thing you should be talking about is playoffs.

You've lost games to the worst team in football and one that is trying its hardest to follow suit. Its a pity we don't play Jacksonville, Reid could go for the ****ing Hat Trick.

Ive seen Jim Mora post game rants that would fit this game perfectly. Totally embarrassed, and totally ashamed. That's what this team should be right now.

So basically we have to get one out of Denver/Arizona/Pittsburgh
Denver's going to be a battle. Our best hope against 'Zona is them being up enough to take the pedal off the D, or a down day for them. Pitt/SD/Oak don't scare me none.

Pitt is away, and presumably in the elements. But Roeth isn't a quickdraw like Peytie-pie. His bread and butter is not going down despite being hit. I'd worry much more about not getting to a QB on time, than I do not bringing him down once gotten to, even if it is Roeth.

Jenkins' 8 receptions over the first 9 games, I mean wow, with numbers like that opposing teams won't know what to do. He's a matchup nightmare. If not for the injury, he was on pace for what? Maybe 20 catches and 190 yards. If he keeps that up for 200 years, he might be a lock for the HOF.

Almost every single AFC team is that way this year. The difference is, we get this type of game a few times a year. Most other teams are dancing into the playoff on an easy schedule.

If we make the playoffs, I believe we have a good chance to get that first playoff win (I never had much hopes beyond that).

They are still deep options we didn't have yesterday.

I'm not saying it completely changes our offense. I'm saying there isn't anything you can do with the receivers we had yesterday. Hammond is completely worthless and Wilson isn't a vertical threat.

This is basically what it comes down to gents. Now the road to the playoffs is going to be treacherous. And chiefs again are going to be playing as underdogs for most of the games here on out. Now i get to watch the rest of the season assuming they CANT do this. just like i thought during week 3 starting 0-2 and playing at sunlife.

Honestly if the chiefs cant beat the broncos, a post season run is doomed from the start.

In their two most humiliating losses, the Chiefs were as follows.

1/12 on 3rd down against the Titans

2/14 on 3rd down against the Raiders.

This is SQUARELY on the shoulders of Andy Reid right here. His playcalling has got to remain consistent, and moreover it has to be INTELLIGENT for the Chiefs to have any shot to win.

This team wins by sustaining long drives, chewing clock, and scoring points. The defense thrives when it only has to make a few stops in a game.

Calling bullshit plays that lose 10 and 12 yards because youre too goddamn scared to throw it 5 yards past the line isn't going to get it done.

This.

And if their complaint is on the offensive line or wide receivers? Guess what....you had the ****ing chance to fix it but you ignored it.

Reid agreed with you in last nights presser.

now, let's hope he learns from it.

I think we have to chalk this game up to a short week and a team that wasn't motivated to play.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why, when it's 3rd down, we always seen to have someone who is running a pattern for less than what we need? It seem every game we have 2 or 3 plays that a check down receiver is not past the 1st down marker. This irritates me GREATLY. I don't want to hear that "we hope he can do something in the open field" crap.
