How many of you can actually afford to attend the London game?

I am not a poor man but I certainly don't have the few thousand bucks laying around to just blow on a football game.

Would the damage for two people be 10k or more?

On the secondary market, this weekend's game's tix start at around £120, which is around $190 or so. So maybe a little higher than here, but nothing too crazy.

If I was going to Europe to see some sports ball you can bet it wouldn't be to see American football.

I actually have always wanted to visit that part of the world. My wife and I are talking about going and spending 2 weeks with the game sandwiched in. A week in England, and then the 2nd week in Scotland and Ireland. Even with my contacts for lodging, I expect it to be a 12-15k trip. We'll see if I have the stones to pull the trigger on that.

Yep!! Trying to talk the wife into it. Always wanted to see England and didn't get to arrowhead this year with my first child being born.

This would kill two birds with one chief.

its not smart to spend that kind of money unless you are already pretty well set up in life

on the other hand

when I was young I did go to europe once purely on credit....and it took me a little bit to pay it off...but it was worth it ...

This is such a hard question and really is THE question of life.....

Personally I wouldnt go unless I had this much in a 'fun' account specifically for entertainment. I would not use credit cards or take money out of long term savings, or skip a month or two of saving for retirement to go on this trip.

I would ONLY do it if I had the money in liquid cash, specifically for travel or entertainment purposes.

damn man, you can probably stay for a month with that much bread

you must be staying in very, very VERY nice accommodations....

When I have gone over there, I just go to the little tourist office in whatever town I am in and ask about local B&B's ....I prefer them to hotels anyway and theyre usually cheaper....and you get to meet real people and shit

I dunno..

wow I guess I am old but 15k seems like way WAY WAY too much for 2 weeks....

I'm glad to hear that. I'll have 5 star accommodations that will run me $500 per week. Benefits of a Timeshare salesman.
