I had been sitting pretty calmly and silently by myself for most of the game while my son and wife slept upstairs. But when Salvy got the hit, I jumped up and just SCREAMED as loud as I have ever screamed, over and over and over, pounding a countertop. My family came running downstairs to see what the hell was going on. I tried to explain, but I had pretty much blown out my voice in those 30 seconds. I just told them it would take an hour to recount every crazy turn of that game, and it simply was one of the greatest postseason games in baseball history.
After they left, I just sat down and wept. |

Bob Dole couldn't take any more and went to bed after the 10th.
Screamed like a little girl when he woke up and saw they had pulled out the win. Awesome. |

The confidence in the base stealers
Butler and Hosmer, after sucking all year, play the game of their lives Texting a concession to my A's fan neighbor in the top of the 8th,asking him to go easy on me The fans at the K. Best baseball crowd ever! Finnegan! Yost! Those ! Couldn't be more different The emotions of the game thread My wife staying up all game and being as excited as me Finally, what her and I did with the remaining excitement. One of my best nights in awhile |

Me and my father jumping up and down and hugging each other after Salvy's grounder went by the third basemen and then both of us tearing up watching the players celebrate. I'll never forget it.

I was so mad last night after the Yost/Ventura debacle that I left the bar I was at to go home. Still watched/listened to every moment of the game but I was so mad and wanted to kill anyone that said "Typical Royals" that I just needed to be by myself.
It all worked out in the end and I was all feels in the 12th. |

I remember thinkin after the 7th inning stretch "This shit isn't ****ing over. They're at least gonna get the tying run to the plate at some point." When all the beaten down KC fans in the game thread (can't blame you honestly) were just deflated.

I showered and watched an episode of Chuggington with my daughter to calm down during the bottom of the sixth and top of the seventh.
After I accepted loss and refilled my scotch, I went back to the basement and enjoyed one of the most exciting endings ever. |
