Raiders trade for Cap'n pick 6

@AdamSchefter: Oakland Raiders now are expected to trade a 2014 late-round pick to Houston Texans in exchange for QB Matt Schaub, per league source.

Corners around the division are licking their chops and ready to pad their stats.

I expected this... If we get last years Shaub it's gonna suck.. If we get pre-2013 Shaub I will be happy.

Would like to see Sammy Watkins at #5 and JIMMY GAROPPOLO as their 2nd round pick or maybe trade down in the 2nd to get him

I think they get Watkins at #5. The QB they like is Carr and he will likely be available in round 2. The only reason they wouldnt take Watkins would be if Manziel were still on the board when they picked.

If 2013 was an anomaly, then the Raiders might be better QBed than we are this year.

If he was just one of those players who fell off quickly, well, the Raiders normally burn draft picks to keep warm so who cares.

The coach and GM are one bad season away from getting canned. That paired with the fact that they for the first time in years they are out of cap purgatory.

Is Al Davis still running the Raiders from hell? They've made awful decisions bringing in has-beens. Oakland aka the land of misfit toys.

You are right, there was no way in hell they were gonna trust their jobs to Pryor or McGloin even though I really like McGloin , I hope they keep him because I feel he will be a great practice QB and backup

Is it a bad sign that on sportscenter, when they said, "The Raiders now have their quarterback." They did air quotes around the word quarterback?

@JohnMiddlekauff: Good analogy “@greggrosenthal: Reggie McKenzie is the equivalent of a baseball GM selling out in hopes of winning 85 games.”

Not really all of those deals are team friendly, the only one who got any money is Austin Howard and he's not old.

When you have 70 mill to spend the cap floor kind of dictates that they have to spend money on some players even if they are old and short term.

ESPN is more about entertainment than real news these days so who puts stock in what they say?

Anyone with half a brain knows Schaub is only there short term while they attempt to find a young successor.

They're really not doing anything differently than we are, trying to be respectable while rebuilding. They just have a lot more money to spend to hit the cap floor.
