YJs is a fun as hell place and the cookie lady is nice but no way it's close to the classic cookie.

Go to your local Doubletree Hotel and see if they will sell you some. They're the best damn cookies I've ever tasted. They make it worth staying at Doubletree.
Or, you can apparently buy them online at: http://www.christiecookies.com/products/doubletree.html |

While they don't sell any plain chocolate chip cookies, I think that Momofuku Milk Bar probably makes the best cookies in the world. Not sure that they're as good when they're shipped, but they are insane straight from the store:
http://milkbarstore.com/main/corpora...ay-gift-guide/ I've had the compost cookies, corn cookies (personal favorite), and cornflake chocolate chip. All are amazing. Like... crazy amazing.

Oh. And if you want to kick your own chocolate chip cookies up a notch, try this browned butter and sea salt chocolate chip cookie recipe. I've taken it to parties, and people go apeshit for it.

actually, I'm a fan of my wife's cookies (NTTAWWT). She has nailed it over the last few years. Peanut butter cookies too.
though...it took her MANY tries to do so lol. There were a few batches over the years that left me "Nah honey....no no. I think they're good. Really". but she knew I was only being nice.
