How many yards for Cassel this year?

Now that our #1 WR is signed, how many yards will Cassel throw for this year?

Remember to include matchup nightmare Dexter McCluster's production in your answer.

At least four of those 22 TD's are actually pic six for the opponents, decreasing your TD tally to 18 & the INT up to 23.

I'm gonna say 3,200 yards, which is 200 yards per game. But I wouldn't be shocked if he threw for less than 3,000.

I don't have much faith in him.

A legit franchise QB would throw for 4,000+ yards with the players we have.

Based on his averages over the last four seasons and considering the he only played 9 games last season, I don't see him throwing for more than 3300 yards.

Since he became a starter he has only averaged 208 yards per game.

I voted 3600 to 3900. Marginally skilled QB surrounded by great talent at every position. I'm expecting an Alex D. Smith kind of year.

In his best season as a Chief, he only threw for 3100, and IIRC, was in the Top 10 for his WR's getting YAC.

So unless he starts throwing the ball downfield regularly, or his WR's go ****ing nuts with YAC, I don't see him getting much over 3200.

Which is sad in this era of professional football. 4000 should be a goddamn gimme with these weapons.

He had Chambers as his #2 receiver that year. Even McCluster is better than Chambers was that year.

That's why I'm thinking between 3700 and 4000 yards.

Its amazing that you think Baldwin Breaston and Hillis will only account for 100 more yards than he had in 2010.

That's how I voted as well.. I also think Daboll's offense will help him immensely.

If he's not willing to throw downfield, it doesn't matter who the WR's are - he's going to depend on YAC.

He may very well throw for 3700. But it's going to be on the legs of his WR's, not on his arm, and we all know it.

If he does this, we are Super Bowl contenders. I guess it could happen, but I am not holding my breath, because I expect us to feature the run to pass at something along the lines of a 60/40 ratio.
