Certainly they're no guarantee that a player will perform to that level in the Regular Season, but what do we stand to lose by bringing him back?

I disagree DMC, the preseason is supposed to show us who is talented and who is not. It's an evaluation process. By your logic, the entire preseason is moot and should be canceled. The fact is Price did look good in the preseason. Unfortunately Darling's signing came with more noise and hoopla. So, IMO, office politics kept him on the roster.

I can only say, that I liked what I saw out of Price in his limited time. He's still young, caught everything thrown his way, and showed more hussle than the rest. The Pats must have seen something in him as well.
