Brodie And NFL Game Speed

I've been pleased to note that the game speed is not too fast for Croyle. That was one of my primary concerns (along with Herm/Curl screwing him up). You know, making mistakes that are clearly due to underestimating the safety's ability to close a gap, for example.

Lenny said that he had quite a few dropped passes today, so his stat line may be a little skewed as a result. Also, I understand he was under heavy pressure most of the day. The INT may have been a bad pass, I don't know. However, Lenny said that Wilson (?) didn't really make a play on the ball. You guys will know more about that.

It also appears that he is not the china doll that a lot of Planeteers pegged him as. According to Lenny, he took some heavy shots today, dusted himself off, and got back to work. That's a good sign, as well.

Anyway, props to Croyle for having the between the legs hangy things to go under center behind this pitiable excuse for a line and the fact that, contrary to Herm's claim, he was in obvious passing downs most of the day.

I think Brodie is going to be great with an O-line. I don't know if the O-line is going to be fixed in one year though. Good Gawd this team O-line is bad & a couple times I think he took a sack cus nobody was open so he didn't want to throw an INT. He had no chance for a successfull game today. The Defense gave up 14 points, Brodie matriculated a drive to score a TD, then the Defense gave up another TD 21-7. The Broncows new our game plan they new our plays they were ready for us. They took it to us before we could scratch our asses.

Brodie is going to be great if given the chance behind a good O-line and the patience it is going to take to get through the young QB mistakes. Brodie held tuff throughout the game and never whussed out.

Kolby failed to avoid the three defenders that greeted him after every handoff in the backfield. Oh, and he powered his way out of a safety.

Bowe dropped some passes.

Wilson is another one of those players we should have traded away last year. Snyder/Saunders would probably have overpaid a bit for him. Now that notion has gone poof.

Wilson is the most pointless player in the History of the NFL. Completely mediocre at every skill.

At least Bowe has a guy like Tony G to mentor him in toughness and coming away with the ball. I'm fairly confident Tony could catch a bullet between his index finger and thumb if he tried.

Great post. Croyle's upside is HUGE if Herm has the patience to stay with him.

Kolby looked the same as usual, which I liked. I was surprised that his stats were as poor as they were.

Bowe really has disappointed me the last couple of weeks. He's dropped some passes, and on the first interception today, I kind of expected him to fight for the ball, and he just more or less waited to make the tackle.

I still say we need to draft a QB in the later rounds.

Top 10 is looking good right now for us.

Um...there was only one interception. It wasn't thrown in Bowe's direction.

Later rounds? What's the point?

If you want a franchise QB, you'd better get him early.

I'd be fine with drafting a stud OT first, followed up by some CB and WR's.

But if the Chiefs really believe Croyle's not the man, we'd better grab the best QB with that high pick we'll have.

Don't try to rationalize with him.

He might have an aneurysm.

And I agree..

1st - OT OTF
2nd - DB
3rd - OT/OG

Wilson had Chump Baily beat and Croyle underthrew the ball. Period.

Wilson had 2 steps on a corner most feel is the best in the league. The ball was thrown right to Baily, and Wilson was so far ahead of him that he couldn't change direction that quick. It was a tough throw, can't expect someone just a few starts in to make every throw.

But you have to expect the receivers to make catches when he does make the throw, and that didn't happen too often today. Bowe dropped a bunch.
