Have you all noticed anything in his swing or approach?
its early, but its beginning to look like he might be a head case. We do know that he becomes visibly frustrated easily. Thats one of those things that you can't really scout.

Moose batting stance looks like he's turned facing the pitcher almost, obliviously somethings not working for him.

Gio has been raking in Omaha. Not really any breaking news because he always does that. But it is at least something and someone who can turn a double play.

The scouts say he has a serious problem with pitch recognition. If he doesn't fix that, he'll never make it out of AA.

The scouts couldn't figure that out before we wasted a #1 on him? Has any team missed on their number one picks more than the Royals?

If Moose keep this up I would have Valencia play the next home game on the 18th verses the Twins.

Any objections?

Not really, no. He's got all the tools but you don't face tough enough competition in high school to see if someone has MLB-level pitch recognition.

As for why pick him #1, high school hitters have a very high ceiling, if you want one you have to take a risk.

I think we have to give Moose all of April. I'm fine with sending him down in May if he doesn't show any life in the next 3 weeks.

He got a hit last night! It's all over for pitchers now.
