Oh how I'd love to see confused faces in the Det dugout tomorrow wondering how the hell they lost the division. And the fans booing them. Please let it happen

We are still more likely to win one of those two games than we are of winning the one and only game with Shields on full rest.

The day after the Royals clinched a spot in the playoffs, Smokey is still recovering from a hard night of partying.

I woke up this morning the same way I hope the Royals woke up. Excited but not satisfied.

Last night was awesome. Today, we have a chance to clinch a home playoff game. And who knows? Tomorrow might give us a chance to clinch a tiebreaker in Detroit.

So we need to win today and tomorrow, and Detroit needs to lose either today or tomorrow - and we'll tie?

It's a damn shame we didn't play Detroit better this season.

It sure is. And most of the losses weren't particularly close. They really got up to play us.

Per Andy McCullough

Danny Duffy has to pitch today, so he was noticeably subdued last night. He planned to depart for bed by 11 p.m.

Or we could win out and Detroit lose out and we'll take the division outright.

That's a positive for yall though. Play them better next year and you'll likely win the division.
