Other Games Pitch (The Card Game) - Page 2

Does anyone else here love playing the card game, "Pitch?" If so, speak up. If there is a way to play online, fill me in and I will play Pitch with you. To this point, I haven't found many (if any) good sites to play Pitch at.

I freaking love playing Pitch. I play it literally every day/night. I play during break at work 5-7 nights per week. When I venture to bars, I usually end up at a table playing pitch with about 4-6 other people before the night is over. I play it on my phone, but that kind of gets old, for playing Pitch vs. 3 computer opponents just gets frustrating...it makes you want to crank up the difficulty settings.

So, do any of you play? If so, anyone have any insight as to how we can play Pitch online against each other?

They have it on this website called Schmear... I dabbled with it a bit last night... It seems like there has to be a better way to play pitch online... I haven't played yet, but downloading the app and registering for that site just seemed...frustrating.

Most people only know it as Smear (or Schmier) with the 4-point version. Probably a very local game in other varieties. Personally, I find Euchre and, especially, Sheepshead, to be much more entertaining. We used to play a cut-throat version of Euchre that was kind of similar to playing Pitch to 21.

My wife's family are pitch junkies. You can't go to any of their family functions without sitting down for a game of pitch.

They play 4 point and 10 point, never heard of any of the other versions.

I have never played and I don't care for card games. But there are plenty of playing card apps available to let you guys get a group going.
