Prepare for a lot of shitty drivers who have no knowledge of a turn signal.

If there is even the most remote chance of going to Austin instead of Dallas.. you have to get to Austin. If you make it to Austin I can give you a ton of possible distractions. I know Dallas pretty well and I'm hard pressed to think of much worth doing there.

Drive to Big Bend on one of those evenings. Take a sandwich with you, though.

Houston on a Sunday morning?
You can always hit up Galveston seawall or go out to Kemah boardwalk and check it out. Houston is a nightlife city~ |

Amongst the entertainment ideas, I would also like restaurant suggestions (for both Ausitn and Houston). |

I think there's a Dr. Pepper museum in Waco, which is on the drive from Dallas to Austin. I dream of someday visiting the Dr. Pepper museum.

Find some street tacos somewhere, buy some cowboy boots. That's all I remember from my one trip to TX.

Ok, give me some direction on what you like. Oh and you really need to get a hotel DOWNTOWN. 90% of what you want is walking distance that way.

Ha! I love Medieval Times! I took one of my first girlfriends to the one in Los Angeles about one million years ago. I think we rooted for the Green Knight.

if it's anything like a Renaissance Festival, I'll be sure to handcuff myself to my water heater.
