I understand your point and even agree with it. I'm also well aware of all the names mentioned so far. But with the history of this franchise, when the NFL channel only mentions that name after the word TARGET 15 minutes ago I get nervous and think about BossChief's thread.

I think this is more about Ferentz's people throwing out his name to get people to want him to stay in Iowa more than it is us actually wanting to interview him...

Didn't Ferentz sign a 10 year deal within the last 2 or 3 years. Im sure i remember reading he had signed an extension I just can't remember the details.

His contract goes through 2020 and pays about $4M annually.

EDIT: There's conflicting reports out there about his contract status, though. Some guy at the Cedar Rapids Gazette is saying there's no buyout, it appears that's where Albert Breer of NFLN is getting his info. I have heard his buyout is north of $20M and others have heard $18-20M.
