Android location service issue
The past few days, the location icon has been on my status bar even though I have location turned off. I haven't installed any apps the last few weeks or so, so it can't be an app turning it on. I can't find any answers on the interweb about it either. Any help?

I have a two year old LGMS769, that's a Metro PCS Optimus L9. I rooted it, took out all of the Metro crap, grabbed an app that makes it run very slowly when I'm not using it called "No-Frills CPU Control." I once had a slow Sunday where I got almost no texts or calls so it stayed on slow mode most of the day. Came off the charger when I woke up at 8 AM. At 11 PM I was at 94% battery life.
