SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 6

The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to show three randomly selected scenes that were nominated in this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showt...php?p=10272067

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it in this thread and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

I hope this is the right part of the breakfast scene, but I suspect it is.

Jackie Brown, Dusk Til Dawn and Django Unchained were all great, in my opinion.

Hated the Kill Bills.

Never actually seen Pulp Fiction in full though I've seen all the classis scenes.

check out Pulp Friction. It's got like 80 on Rotten Tomatoes.

It's an odd coincidence that the random draw has put several of that movie's scenes early, but I gotta say, Tarantino produces some very memorable scenes.
I don't know what else there is of his in this competition, but his Basterds scene also won one of the heats. I can think of several great scenes in each of his films, except for perhaps Death Proof which wasn't quite as memorable.

Dusk Till Dawn was written by Tarantino, not directed (that would be Robert Rodriguez).

He also wrote True Romance directed by Tony Scott, which I love. I hope the Sicilian scene is in this thing.

Pulp Friction, however is awesome....or so I hear.
I hated Pulp Fiction the first time I saw it. Then by chance I saw it a second time and it grew on me. By then I was hooked and now I love it.

I did like Grindhouse by Tarrantino. So retro-drive-in-throwback.

Tarantino's movies are more like quilts of fantastic stand-alone scenes.

Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds are alright films in their totality, but when you break them down into scenes, they are uhhhhhmazing.

I don't know all of his movies, but in the tournament I see:

- 10 Pulp Fiction scenes
- 4 Inglorious Basterds scenes
- 1 Reservoir Dogs scene
- 1 Kill Bill scene

Overall, he's got about 4 percent of the submitted clips, which is pretty good. I suspect that Pulp Fiction is the most nominated film.
