It's on DVD for $14 if you want to save a few bucks.

Only $2 more than streaming, it seems to get ridiculously good reviews. I'll probably pull the trigger and hope we like it. |

I would be really surprised if you didn't like it, judging by the list in your thread starter.
Season 1 was really good. And it gets even better in seasons 2 and 3. |

wow.. no The Walking Dead? Great show, right in the vein of the shows you watch, but with zombies.
My favorite quote from season 1? "Hey, Dumbass. Yea, you in the tank." |

I've always heard great things about The Wire. Just started watching it OnDemand, and I like it. Through about half of the third season now. Good stuff. I don't know if it lives up to the "best show ever" hyperbole I've read, though.
And it is a little dated, dealing with 10-year old technology. |

The wire is a fantastic show. And I'm obviously a huge BSG fan. Watching it after the fact is great because you can watch it all at once and not have to wait a year for the next episode because the scifi channel is reeruned.

I feel like the 1990s - 2000s were the golden age of television. All of my favorite shows are from this time (I guess it helps that this range takes up all of my formative years).
I don't think anyone has mentioned The Shield yet. That show is definitely in my top 5. Last edited by Buck; 01-08-2013 at 07:23 PM.. |
