This team needs some HARD coaching

Time to take off the diapers and start wearing big boy pants. Reid needs to get his positional coaches together and make it clear that their positional units improve their play.....or else. It sure looks to me that everyone’s just a bit too comfortable these days — some clear accountability is needed....now. This team clearly lacks in discipline not to mention something called performance. Hells bells name one positional unit that’s playing well: OL? RBs? QBs? WRs? TEs? DLs? LBs? DBs? STs? They’re pretty much ALL playing like crap.....and, we continue to flounder.....with little apparent consequence (except for the mounting losses).

Anyway, hopefully, said positional coaches will then deliver the message that sub-par performance will have consequences. In other words, some discomfort needs to be meted out (generally taking the form of kicking butt and ripping new ones). The time for nice-nice has passed. It’s time to toughen up and play some big boy football.

And, if the team needs an example of this newfound big boy approach, I’d cut Phillip Gaines tomorrow. Guy has zero idea where the stinking football is and if/when he does actually locate the ball, his ball skills are non-existent. Unacceptable. Goodbye. Time to demonstrate that poor performance has consequences.

This team is just too stinking comfortable.

Andy Reid is a sorry ass muther****er.

Make no mistake about that.

But he is far from the biggest issue this team has.

The question is, can Mahomes overcome his shortcomings as a head coach?

Because, quite frankly, that's the only way this teams wins anything meaningful.

By now Andy has passed-out the participation trophies and almost passed out because he's cupping his hands at the Golden Corral chocolate fountain.

We're ****ed!

Does it seem like the Chiefs always get a "players' coach" and then they look like a bunch of pussies? We need a **** you pussies coach who will kick ass and take names and then maybe the team will follow suit.

Nailed it!
Fully expect Mahomes to do OK for the first 3 years but the team never reaches the AFCDG. Reid is fired, then we win something meaningful riding the Mahomes train.

It disgusts me to see the Chiefs final drive in regulation end at the 5 yard line with no attempts to throw to the end zone and win the game. Andy Reed is a disgrace. That was the worst call in the entire game. Your are on the road, your offense has done nothing, and you have to make a 10 yard pass to win the game....and you call a quarterback sneak up the middle. YOU SUCK

To be fair, the only coach who isn't like that these days is Belichick, and he can do it because he wins all the Super Bowls. To pull that off you have to win, and Belichick is the guy winning them all so he can do it.

Most of the time the type of coaches who "kick ass" all end up like Mike Singletary or Greg Schiano... they look like idiots. The only one besides Belichick who had any success was Jim Harbaugh and everyone burns out on him in 4 years.

Andy Reid is exactly what I thought he'd be when we hired him. He's a creative offensive minded coach who loves the short, horizontal passing game, is prone to abandoning the running game, can show terrible clock management, but also wins games and gets his teams to the playoffs. His teams can beat the best team in the league and lay an egg against a bottom feeder. He has done all of that in KC, and will do it if Mahomes is QB.

But with all of that said, he is easily one of the 10 best coaches currently in the NFL. It's not even a hard argument to make. That's just the state of the league.

Not really. Other than herm and Romeo, who? Vermeil was known as a softie but he ran a brutal practice. I don't think because players like Reid, that makes him soft on players. Attitude is down the list of things I'm worried about.
