Trade showcase with the 49ers back-ups struggling? He played the entire second half so that was most likely the case, IMO. They know that they aren't going to keep all 4 QBs so they want to give the league a look at Murray, the least impressive of them all.

Guess everyone in the media who made camp reports must be a moron also by calling Murray the 4th QB on the depth chart.

Murray is the 4th QB, they're not letting Bray go in favor of him and his arm is too weak for him to be anything more than a solid back-up; really reminds me of a young Shaun Hill.

We need a solid CB added to our roster or an upgrade on the OL. The only way that we're getting one is if we can trade for him. QBs are the best trade bait and the 49ers need a good back-up judging from the atrocious play of Gabbert and Johnson.

The 49ers have a holdout in Alex Boone, one of the top guards in the league, that can probably be traded for.

49ers and Chiefs have some history trading players and picks between them.

Is it really out of the question?

Impressed: Kelce, Hammond, Murray, Van Dyke

Depressed: Parker, Gaines, JM Johnson, entire 2nd unit DL, Abdullah, Hemingway, Jenkins, Jeff Allen, Rishaw Johnson, Sean Smith, Sorensen, Dee Ford, Knile Davis in pass protect...

Basically I came away with an impression that our tackles will be okay, but those guards are terrible. Only positive came when the 2nd string LG looked ok. Hudson seemed to be solid too.

Fisher was actually did better than most are giving him credit, but that seems to be the way the fanbase is about him, so whatever. I saw 3 bad plays from him, one on the rush play Hardy blew up, one he got beat and held Hardy, and the Ealy beating him down play. Coincidentally they were all in close proximity and that seems to be all everyone cares about, not the fact he did quite well against Hardy the rest of the half.

Knile Davis is terrible in blitz pickup and pass protect as a whole. He gave up a sack on Smith by completely whiffing when the rest of the line picked it up. Makes one appreciate Charles in that respect.

I was really disappointed in the receivers outside of Bowe and Hammond, none can get open very much. Both Fasano and Kelce were solid. Kelce should be the #1 though.

Sean Smith sucks balls. I bitched all of last year that the deep beatings we took weren't all on Lewis, and I'm still of that opinion as we watched more of Smith getting torched. He doesn't deserve to start, but there is nothing better behind him. Parker should be cut. I really want to see Van Dyke get some snaps earlier next week to see what he has. I'm very concerned with the CB situation because Gaines doesn't look ready to be significant out the gate. Chiefs might have to scour the waiver wire for fresh blood at CB and at OG.

I didn't like the safety play all that much aside from probably Bronson, who seemed to be in on the action early and playing well. Saw Sorensen get beaten by TEs a few times.

I dunno, I could bitch about a lot in this game. The gashing that front 7 got in the 2nd half was kind of scary. Only guy that looked to be getting some push was Vance Walker.

I liked that we got to see a bunch of Murray and I came away fairly impressed. He had the bad pick he didn't put enough on, but other than that he looked good to me. Good enough it has to put some unrest in Bray and even Daniel.

Even in the plays Fisher didn't get completely beat, he never looked good. Either his feet were off-balance, or he got pushed way into the pocket, or he was reaching.

Maybe a few run plays were ok. But he was not impressive.
