What? No bring him back in for a year thread?
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-brian-waters/
Longtime guard Brian Waters is officially done with the Patriots. The daily NFL transactions list that was circulated to the media on Tuesday included a note that Waters had been terminated from the Patriots’ reserve/did not report list. That makes him an unrestricted free agent. A six-time Pro Bowler who played for the Chiefs from 2000 to 2010, Waters signed with the Patriots in 2011 and played very well for them, providing some stability on their offensive line and starting all 19 games up to and including the Super Bowl. But he reportedly wanted a raise that the Patriots weren’t willing to give him in 2012, and he never reported to the team. The 36-year-old Waters is now free to see if any other team will pay him what he wanted the Patriots to pay him. More likely, he has played his last NFL game. "I’ve heard rumors that he wants to come back to KC to play had they never signed Scott ***** he would have never left! I say bring him back for 1 more yr!" |

Lilja looks great when you have a guy like Payed-a-ton taking 2.5 seconds to throw the ball...

I was wondering what happened to him last year. I hadn't heard that he retired and thought he was active, but then noticed at the end of the year that he never played. I thought maybe I'd missed a retirement announcement last year.

I'm more interested in developing tomorrow's line than signing an aging vet. I'd be alright with it if they just didn't think they had anyone who could play the position this year, but I doubt that that's the case.

I loved Willie Roaf as a left tackle, but I would not hire him to decorate my home:
