Grading the 2015 Chiefs Draft

F-

Let's see...

1. Marcus Peters, CB; Washington

- Sure, everyone got jacked the **** up because we took a dude at a position of need that purportedly was the best at his position in the draft. And he was/is. When Peters is on, he's completely ****ing shut down. He plays mean and crazy. Sounds great, right? Well, the problem is, he's mean and crazy whether he plays or not. He's a borderline lunatic. Probably not even borderline. How many guys that are the best players on their team get kicked off their teams because they are ****ing nuts? Not many. They drafted a lit powder keg.

2. Mitch Morse, OL; Missouri

O.M.F.G.

3. Chris Conley, WR; Georgia

Dorsey's workout warrior circa 2015. Production was run of the mill at Georgia, but when he ran a 4.35 and jumped 45" at the Combine (despite dropping a shit ton of balls during the field drills) Dorsey grabbed the Jerkins lotion and went to town.

3. Steve Nelson, CB; Oregon State

- Dorsey's draft is as predictable as the plot line in a porno. At least one workout warrior and at least one guy who was "Oooh! He's playing good in a college All-Star game! Let's draft him!" That's Nelson. Charles Davis thinks he invented/coined the term "Mighty Mouse" for Nelson. What a jerk off.

Quote:
Doesn't have fluid hips to turn and chase if beaten off the line of scrimmage. Scouts believe tape shows below-average football intelligence and a lack of speed. Labored backpedal. Panics in man coverage and will get grabby (second-most penalized senior cornerback). Doesn't have length or fluidity to play in trail coverage.
Sounds great.

4. Ramik Wilson, LB; Georgia

5. D.J. Alexander, OLB; Oregon State

- Yeah, the guy that the NFL didn't even have rated prior to the draft. That's who we pick in the fifth round. Super.

5. James O'Shaughnessy, TE; Illinois State

- Completes the Dorsey predictable draftee trifecta - the well measured small school dude. Tardif, Catapano. O'Shinglesley will be a personal Dorsey favorite because of his terrific measurables and gamer mentality. He'll take up a roster spot for years without ever seeing a single snap.

6. Rakeem Nunez-Roches, DT; Southern Mississippi

It really doesn't even matter now. Another small school dude who really doesn't fit the defense. Why even have picks if this is what you are going to do with them? Not that guys like Ben Koyak, Tre McBride, Zach Vigil, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, etc. are still available. **** guys like that. I hate dudes who could contribute to this team immediately.

7. Da'Ron Brown, WR; Northern Illinois

Reid drafted him and he'd be an amazing fit in this defense.

If he hits the market, I'd be shocked if the Chiefs weren't high on list, if not number one.

All good and well, but the bottom line is that money talks.

Of course. He seems like an automatic fit, especially with DJ's expiring contract this year. All we can hope is that he becomes a Chiefs once his contract ends or he's cut.

I agree with this and hope it doesn't happen.

If the Chiefs landed Kendricks for a 4th, they would be that much closer to having the type of dominating defense that has won 8 SBs the past 15 years:
'01 - Ravens
'03 - Bucs
'06 - Steelers
'08 - Giants
'09 - Steelers
'12 - Giants
'13 - Ravens
'14 - Seahawks

The teams not included in this list are NE, GB, Ind & NO, who either won primarily based on offense or where the 2 sides were equally important.

Having a D with Poe, Houston*, Hali, Kendricks DJ*, & Smith would be very difficult for any offense to handle.

according to this guy, we've been in contact after the draft. says we offered a 5th that could turn into a 4th, and they came back with a 4th that could turn into a 3rd. no how credible the reporter is.

heres another reporter saying the two sides have talked and may revisit again.

Outside of Peters, there wasn't much to get excited about. Conley's still a bit of a project.

So, the two sources for your info are Warpaint and some guy who thinks that Andy Reid is working a trade?
