McNabb thinks Cassel can fit in Reid's system
http://www.kansascity.com/2013/02/11...an-fit-in.html Former Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb, now an analyst for NFL Network, believes Matt Cassel can fit in former Eagles coach Andy Reid’s system with the Chiefs. And, said McNabb, Cassel could be the right one to help bring along a young passer in a season in which the draft is lacking in elite quarterbacks worthy of the first pick in the draft. "It's kind of hard to judge,” McNabb said of Cassel on NFL Network’s Total Access. “In the last couple of years, he's had a lot of injuries which have put him off the field and the team hasn't been that good. If you look back at his Pro Bowl year, he was able to spread the ball around, get Dwayne Bowe the ball and he also had an attack in the run game that really helped him out in so many ways. “But if you go back to his injuries, he has rib injuries, his throwing hand, two concussions in the last couple of years. His record since 2009 hasn't been that great...One thing you look at Matt Cassel, is this an opportunity to utilize his experience to bring up a young quarterback? “In this draft, there aren't any quarterbacks that are worthy of going as early as that No. 1 pick. So if you decide to go and wait for the second or third round, you can utilize Matt Cassel to be your guy to warm things up to give that young guy an opportunity to get ready." Cassel won't start another game for the Chiefs. I equate this to the scare in that week after the season that SP wasn't gone yet, that he was gonna stay on as GM. We should've taken a step back and thought logically. There was no way SP was staying, and there's no way Reid is going to try and sell Cassel as his QB.

Of course, I don't see it happening though. Several people like reflect to on what Cassel did in 2010 with "good coaches". Apparently, since 2010 he hasn't had good coaches like that. Now we bring in QB guru Andy Reid. They'll see if Andy can fix him before they go all in on a "risky" 1st round QB.
We have to look at the big picture here, there's not 1 QB worth taking at #1. I love Geno and Tyler, but to take them at #1? There's just too many red flags. I'm not getting my hopes again for this team. I always get excited for nothing. I'm just trying to be real, don't think I'm trolling because it's not like that. I think Reid will work with Cassel. Shitty I know. |

Cassel wouldn't be a bad backup for league minimum

I would love to be wrong in this case, I just don't want to be ****ed over again. Come draft day I'm expecting us to draft Jockel. When we do, the remote will go flying into the wall. Tired of being let down. |

I'm glad they didn't print his first few responses.
Covitz: How do you think AR will do in KC with Matt Cassel? McNabb: Great. He loves KFC. I don't know this Mark guy, but I've seen him destroy a buffet all by himself. Covitz: No. KC. As in the Kansas City Chiefs. Matt Cassel has been their shitty-ass QB. You should know this. McNabb: There's a professional football team in Kansas City? (Turns to agent) Can I get some very generous cliff notes on this Mark Kastle guy? Former Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb, now an analyst for NFL Network, believes Matt Cassel can fit in former Eagles coach Andy Reid’s system with the Chiefs. I saw McNabb and Cassel duel at Arrowhead last year. That was the "screen pass in the dirt/Haley called me a pussy" game.
And Cassel was STILL the best QB on the field. McNabb is the Book of Fail. |

They have no more red flags than any other QB ever taken #1 overall in the last 10 years. The only reason it is even a question to some people as to whether or not we take a QB is because of the two QBs last year. |
