I wouldn't be surprised at any combination of these guys starting in Week 1.
I think what appeals most to me about our secondary is just how versatile it is and can be with just a few substitutions. Spags can have our secondary approach literally any situation with all the talent and different skillsets brought to the table.

Looking forward to Nazeeh and Chamarri big-time this year!

Yeah, I was pondering whether I should call Conner a safety or not because it seems like he played all over. I think at the core he's a safety, but labels don't seem to matter much in our defense, and I love that.

Well I've thought that at times.

But if that is a serious plan, wouldn't you want to commit to it in the off season and let him practice it?

If he is only spending limited time at LT, then that would really be a worst case scenario? Like the periodic talk [in the past] of moving Thuney to LT scenario, right?

I noticed that you added some of our rookies in the top area, but others, such as Wiley, you put in the rostered/ competing area. I would think that Wiley would be assured a spot and should be in the top section. I guess that you were thinking that he would compete with Irv Smith for a spot?

I threw everything into an excel chart that wouldn't transfer over, so I had to write it all out again and must have missed it in the crossover. Wiley will have the TE3 job (and maybe the TE2 job before the season's end if he's as good as I hope) . Meant for there to be maybe 1 open competition spot. Fixed, thanks for pointing it out.

Big improvement at QB potentially as Gabbert was completely trash.

DBs lack a bit of proven top end talent with Sneed gone but there is a lot of talent and versatility across the secondary that could be even better overall than last year if it clicks.

The interior D line still looks very thin outside of Chris Jones and is arguably the biggest weakness.

Let’s not act like Smith was Willie Roaf out there. If one of the youngsters can get to average we will be just as good if not better at LT.

I think you can pencil Wiley in as TE3 at least.

There's noise out there that DK Metcalf is on Veach's radar as a June 1 cut from Seattle

he’s going to want way too much money than Veach is going to be willing to pay.

Supposedly Veach called during the draft. Would have made sense as a last year of his contract rental with Seattle eating some. If he gets to the open market we will be outbid.
