Ill stop worrying about your team when y'all stop commenting on KU. Since that'll never happen, unfortunately my insults must continue.
What did drive realignment then?

Big Ten mulling 'year of readiness'

Quote:
The Big Ten is seeking feedback from its members about the possibility of making freshman athletes ineligible for competition as they adjust to college life.

In a statement to ESPN.com, the league says it is gauging interest from its members about a "national discussion regarding a year of readiness for student-athletes."The rules surrounding freshmen ineligibility don't fall within the areas of autonomy, which means either conferences choose to adopt the policy on their own or the legislation is voted on by the entire division," the NCAA said in a statement issued Friday.

The Diamondback, the student newspaper at Maryland, reported Thursday that the Big Ten is circulating a document titled, "A Year of Readiness," which explores making freshmen in football and men's basketball ineligible for competition.

Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott told CBSSports.com last week that he has discussed freshman ineligibility with several commissioners and that there will be "much more serious conversations about it in the coming months and year."

Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby told CBSSports.com that there's "growing interest" in debating the possibility. Big Ten football coaches and athletic directors didn't discuss freshman ineligibility at their recent business meeting, but they expect to do so in the coming months. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz told ESPN.com that he favors freshman ineligibility.

Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith doesn't think the freshman eligibility policy should change based solely on some men's basketball players spending just one year in college before turning pro.

Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis offered a counterpoint to that view, saying that college sports need to be more than just a feeder program to the pro leagues, but that freshman ineligibility may not be the answer.
I cut this story up so if you want the whole thing you can click the link.

Literally no one is mad at you.
No one goes to the zoo and gets mad at the monkeys.

I just think you're funny. You will never talk about kU football. When people bring it up, you deflect away. And when you finally admit it, it's because those mean Ole Mizzou fans won't stop saying such mean things about your school. . It's awesome.
meanwhile, every single Mizzou fan admits what a dumpster fire our basketball program is, but you can't stop researching and following.
And now, with this post, you act as if you have to do it this way. It's completely beyond you to be an adult... and it's everyone else's fault.

Football drives realignment? All I see is schools leaving conferences that they can't win.

It seems like the freshman ineligibility plan would result in one-and-done basketball players skipping college and jumping straight in from high school. Would be terrible for CBB I'm guessing.

More importantly, for Football it would be a mixed bag. It might be good for the development of the young men, but taking away a year of their opportunity to develop themselves in college on the field might not be a good thing for the NFL. It seems like not all that many freshman play significant time in football anyway.

Maybe if they still gave 4 total years of eligibility but said that your freshman year couldn't be one of them, it would work out better.

That's not true, at all.

there were several One True Champions, and there have been for years. The Big X has more Big X Champions than any other conference!!!

We certainly did, and got to witness firsthand the craziness in your head when you couldn't explain why the BIG took Maryland & Rutgers.
