Reid needs to maximize the involvement of guys like Charles, Knile Davis, Kelce, and DAT now that he is healthy.

Also, we had a chance for a 54 yard FG. We have a kicker that's supposed to be known for his strong leg. I don't give a shit if he's a rookie, why isn't he kicking that? If we don't have faith in him then why the hell hasn't he been cut yet?

Most of this is on Reid. But that aside, when was the last time Alex Smith brought a team back to win? Outside of that Saints playoff game, when has he ever done it?

Yep. We should bring in Prater unless he is a headcase.

That call was completely and totally inexcusable. If you don't think your kicker can make it from 54 then get rid of him!

My summary of the game.

The Chiefs great pass rush was not as good as the Chiefs poor run defense was poor. Play calling, fake punts, and 12 men penalties aside, the 49ers rushing attack controlled the time and tenor of the game.

Great game and was going to be heartbreaking for the fans of whichever team came up short. It is not fun yo lose a close, hard fought game like that.

Chiefs are definitely no 4-12 team like folks here were saying 2 weeks ago.

I believe it. Hate the loss though. We've hung with two of the best teams in the league with a chance to win. Just going to get stronger next year with all our draft picks and DJ back.

And if it wasn't for an amazing catch he would have zero moments of usefulness in crunch time.

Not going to research this, but in many games over the last 3 years, Alex has been clutch on such drives... just failed on this play. Sucks.

At some point even if we make the playoff's we will need smith to make a game winning drive and so far he has shown every time he can't so who cares as long as he is behind the center ?
