Welp, back on the hate wagon

Who's with me?

**** this franchise in the ****ing neck.

I hate Alex Smith, Eric Fisher, our entire secondary, our dickhole coaching staff, Dee Ford for not being a player who could actually help us, and ESPECIALLY McGlynn.

It's funny to see the reactions around here after the Raider game though.

Of course they would. As would upgrades at ILB1, ILB2, CB1, RG, RT, LT.

I'm just saying that G has to be the least impactful position of all.

People always seem to think upgrades have to come from outside the roster.

4 of those spots should be upgraded by the players currently there further developing.

Development is something this organization has lacked sorely prior to this regime.

Fine. Cassel won 4. Orton won two. Tyler freaking Palko got one win in Chicago and could have beaten Pittsburgh if he had the arm strength of your average Mountain West QB.

DJ would be an improvement over the current duo of ILBs playing and Berry has been ruined by Romeo Crennel's ****ery and isn't bringing a lot to the table that Abdullah and Parker aren't already bringing at safety.

But the goal posts continually shift with a group of posters here. Berry isn't playing to his draft pick value and contract. If KC lets Berry walk or trades him and the Chiefs roll with Ron Parker and Abdullah at safety, then guys like Sandy will bitch about how the defense sucks because the FO didn't go out and get a guy in FA. If KC drafts a safety in a high round, then the narrative will shift one of three ways.

If the rookie sucks in the field to an obvious degree (or can't crack the lineup), then it becomes "Well you can't expect a 23 year old kid to go out there and play like Ed Reed. He'll be good next season. You're just not being patient enough." If the rookie plays decently but the other 10 guys on defense suck, then it will be "Well, Player X isn't good at position A. KC needs to sign someone like Y or Draft this Z guy out of Acme State next April." If the defense is fine and the rookie plays decently yet the team is still losing games against the likes of 2014's Tennessee and Oakland, then there will be disquiet with why Dorsey didn't draft an OL in the first two rounds.

Because there's no sense in paying a six year veteran running back to a deal commiserate with bis status as a top 5 player at that position when you're two+ ****ing years from being able to win a playoff game.

The minute he announced he was holding out of camp Dorsey should have been actively trying to flip him for a 1st rounder from a team like Green Bay or NE to put them over the top for a SB run this year considering how team-friendly JCs contact was.

That's where you are wrong. A good left guard, would make Fisher so much better.

Sandy's an idiot though and shouldn't be paid attention to.

I think when looking at berry, he's a good player and I'd like to keep him, but for cost purposes I'd rather improve the offense on the outside if it comes to that.

Also in terms of Tennessee and oakland, I don't think it's a coincidence that both of said games were the week before Denver.

Denver is in this teams head.

Every year we're creating more holes than we're able to fill. It worked out this year with guys clearly playing above their heads but at some point it'll likely catch up to us.
What does 'playing above one's head' mean, exactly?

No one can actually play beyond their ability.

Nope. He won't make it another two seasons without a serious injury and his speed isn't anywhere where near it should be anymore.

Damn shame he'll never win a ring.

Absolutely. And we'll see an entirely different Chiefs team next Sunday night.

Not saying they'll win, but it'll be a battle.

I'm just saying, KC fans would not be wrong to expect winning seasons and a playoff shot each year with this current regime. That's quite a different outlook, compared to the pre-2013 expectations, I would think.
You would think wrong. We had playoff expectations every year from 2003 to 2006. We had playoff expectations every year from 1990 through 1999. Most of us who went though that didn't find it very satisfying. Marty and Carl had both worn out there welcome with fans by the time Marty left. Quit telling us how happy we should be. It is terribly condescending.

Sandy knows nothing about the Chiefs if it occurred earlier than 2013
