It is annoying how seemingly harmless situations can instantly blow up in your face if you're not paying attention. I've learned to save pretty much after every encounter. |

SPOILER!!!! Try going into the general store and looking at the oil barrels. Then go tell the Templar on the hill about them in the conversation with him. When the battle starts, there will be a fire at the base of the hill where the zombies first spill out. Does major damage! Then just pick them off. And for the lower area, group them all up using taunts, and blast away with an AOE spell...Ice Cone works well (I think that's the name of it.) I did it at level 8 or 9.

You can also give the knights holy symbols by talking to the reverend mother in the chantry, although I don't know if that has any practical benefit.

Might have had to pass a persuasion check to get her to help. I think my mage has 20 cunning and 4 persuasion.

Probably...I completely neglected persuasion and not much on cunning my first go of it.
I got all the DLC stuff yesterday, so I started completely over with plans to go for a blood mage, and am upping persusion first thing this time, and will be smarter balancing skills out this time. Last time I had two players with full herbalism, no poison or traps at all...didn't manage it well. I'm planning on shale (when I figure out where they are with this DLC stuff) morrigan, and zevlan...three NPCs that I didn't do anything at all with the first go of it. |

Hrm....didn't realize Leliana was a romance option...for male and female. I happened to start a female char first, so I might have to keep on with that save game a touch longer just to take her for a spin.

I'm playing a rogue, so I don't use her at all (except for convenient item storage). Same with the assassin and the dog - I don't think I've had any of them out of camp once.

Well I called down the high dragon, just to see how comically he tore my group up. Damn..... It's gonna take a while before I'm actually ready to tackle that.

[ /spoiler ]So what did you do: destroy the anvil and help the golem? Kill the golem, make the crown, and then have the dwarf destroy the anvil followed by a suicidal leap into the lava? or kill the golem, take the crown, and leave the dwarfsmith with the anvil? Upon returning to the city did you give the crown to Harrowmont or The Prince?[ /spoiler ]
I am close to 19 and Nightmare is easy mode. |

I'm thinking Harrowmont right now, but I'm not sure. I haven't found much to persuade me either way yet. But the Prince seems like a douche...
