Thats what pisses me off about the post season tourneys...

Regular season grind means nothing, while the conference tourney means EVERYTHING!

It doesn't mean much of anything to a team like Kansas. It looks like KU is still the 1 seed in the Midwest.

I dont mind the auto bid, but the conference champ should be exempt from the tourney.

You gain nothing by playing in it regardless if you win it or not.

That's not really true. Villanova could very well gain this year if they win it. North Carolina could improve their seeding too. Kansas has improved overall seeding many times in recent years by winning the tournament even after they've won the conference.

Ah, gotcha. I see us dropping to #3 - but in the end, I don't see it making a difference to us. We'll be the #1 in the Midwest going through KC whether we were the #1 overall or the #3 overall.

It would be pretty stupid if KU doesn't get KC. There is not a team in the area with a hope of getting to the 1 line.

Of course he is/did...fact is KU and the JW want this to just go away. If you heard the Mike Sanders segment just before Mike believes KU could have some Title IX issues moving forward. KK was right the Star is looking to build the story because there is more writing to do and in the long run could prove costly in court.
