Tony Romo rumor

Gotta ask what do you guys think? There are strong rumors we are interested. I would love it if we got AJ MCCaron from Bengals.

What do you guys think

I wouldn't expect CK to rip him in the media.

His all I did wrong was get a concussion comment was akin to "I graded out perfectly". Hardly something a true leader would put out there.

Truth.

I want a drafted QB, not another trip down OthersTrash Lane.

Enough of that shit.

Better than bad does equal a better chance though. Nothing is a lock with Brady still around.

I know you're on the "anyone but Alex" bus, but Romo just isn't the answer. I don't want us giving up draft picks to get him in here for two seasons at best, most of which he'll most likely spend in the trainer's room. Boot Smith, give it to Foles for a year, draft a kid, get him ready, profit.

And I agree 100% on your Brady comment. The AFC belongs to Brady and Belichick for as long as they stay together in New England.

Yep, and I have no idea. He was a mod once in the early days of CP, gave it up and disappeared, came back for a stretch, then disappeared again.

He was awesome.

I think the Alex Smith trade put him down

Im not on the ABA bus, but there has to be a possible upgrade out there via trade or draft. Your suggestion is perfectly acceptable as well.

Oh, for ****s sake. I'm by no means an Alex fan, but the hate some of you have for him prevents you from having any sort of credibility regarding any discussion of him.

Kap wasn't just not ripping him. He was going out of his way to say that Alex was a great team mate after the benching.

Your Alex hate had you talking straight from your ass. Nothing more, nothing less.

Romo and Alex were both good soldiers when replaced they did what they could to help the team from the sideline.

I won't be shocked if Dak takes a step back when Romo leaves because of how much he has helped the kid.

Similarly to how Colin fell off when Alex left and he stopped progressing.

Also, I wish Parker would post again, too...but the Smith trade hit him hard.

I'd love to hear his takes on Kelce.

Romo seems to have a lot of class and leadership qualities, I don't think that's ever been in question. He can probably still play. I just don't see how this could be positive for us. He's unlikely to be healthy, we'd have to unload Smith and probably not get much for him, it would set us back a couple more years on a qbotf, and I think it's questionable how much closer we'd be to a super bowl with a near retirement Romo. Maybe not all that much.

If we move on from smith there needs to be a youth movement at QB, not a "last hurrah" replacement

Eh I mean I get your point but it also assumes all other scenarios surrounding the qb ate the same then as they are now.

If romo was a free agent I think we should be all in on the short term risk. Since compensation will be involved it makes this more risky.
