It doesnt make sense, is Sorenson a Mormon? Like is Andy favoring him because of his religion or something?

Sorensen has been here forever. They are going to keep ****ing that chicken.

He is going to have to lose a game in one of his 20 snaps or something for them to finally bench him entirely.

One could argue he's already lost a couple for us.

Yes, but he was a starter then.

He hasn't out and out lost a game playing 20 snaps a game - yet.

I have no idea why he was isolated on Aaron Jones in that game the other day. Multiple times.

This defense has been struggling all season to establish an identity. They've finally started to play a little better when Dan ****ing Sorenson SINGLE-HANDEDLY cost them a chance at a benchmark shutout win.

He shouldn't be benched, he should be cut outright. I ****ing hate the guy at this point.

You need to spam the **** out of the Chiefs with that "perfect QB rating" shit. It's maddening.

They need to put him on IR for a hamstring. He’s done as a safety in the Nfsl and if we’re being honest, the league saw him as donezo last year. Nobody wanted him in FA.

1. Some guys peak athletically in HS.

2. Some peak in NCAA.

3. Some peak after a couple/few yrs in the league.

4. Then there are those who are gifted enough to play at a consistent high level and can have a decade long pro career.

Not that I think Sorensen was ever a gifted athlete, certainly was good enough of one to get to the pros but I think he's ultimately #3 on this list.

He's regressing athletically. He's always been a step too slow getting to where he needs to be but now he's 3-4 steps too slow and he's getting toasted by just about anyone he attempts to try and cover.

Coaches like him (and Neimann) because they're good in the film room and know where they need to be....they just can never get there.

IMO, when Armani Watts has been on the field, he's played marginally well. Maybe he doesn't show up in the classroom/film study and coaches are stubbornly hesitant putting him out there. But at this point you have to chance it because he's causing the team problems and you've ran out of options.

But Sorensen is costing this team wins...so is Neimann. If Watts or O'Daniel can't beat out Sorensen or Neimann at this point then WTF are they even on the team? They've been on the roster this being their 4th season, they're former '18 3rd rd picks top125 players. Sorensen and Neimann were UDFA for a reason. You gotta know what you have/what you dont. It's maddening. Spags needs to do SOMETHING different.

And the worst thing about all of this...

At some point DS is going to make some huge important game changing play late in the year or in the playoffs that'll band-aid all of his previous horrendous play through out the season and people like Spags will be tempted to play him even more because "he makes big plays".

Sorry man. DOD and Watts are special teamers at best. There's a reason they're not on the field.

I'm not saying they're perfect, but when they've been on the field they've made some plays in the minimal amount of snaps they've received.

This is a passing league. Safeties and LB's need to be able to cover some ground.

Sorensen and Neimann should also be a "ST at best" player, but they're not, because our DC is a stubborn mule.

That reminds me of myself playing soccer into my late 30s. In my later years I would take all kinds of bad defensive angles because my brain told me to take an angle that would have been appropriate to my speed 5 years earlier. It made me look like a fool because the wrong angle would make me end up chasing instead of meeting. All I was good for at that point was standing in the middle of the pitch and spraying passes around and hitting long shots.

Whatever the cause, though, Sorenson shouldn't be out there. If he has that great of a brain then make him a coach.

The problem is that he’s not playing “heady”. Guys like him are supposed to make up for lack of athleticism with knowledge of the system. When he’s vacating a deep zone or passing off wrong and leaving a guy wide open, he’s actually doing bad at the ONE thing he’s supposed to do well.

LOL uhh no. He'd have to take over for Mahomes as the 3rd string QB and throw 6 TDs in every playoff game on the way to the Superbowl to even... COME... CLOSE.

Just like there was a reason Sorenson started over Thornhill for the first five games of this season?

It seemed like Watts played ok as the 3rd safety in game 1 this year. Anyone know his PFF grade?
