I have a feeling these Warriors will resemble the Don Nelson Warriors more than they will last year's team

I'd say Curry, Durant, and Draymond are three of the NBA's top 5 players. Pretty sure that's never happened before, let alone with somebody as good as Klay Thompson as the #4.

Losing Bogut may have more of an impact than they want to admit. He was the defensive anchor for that team and his absence was felt in that finals series after he got hurt.

Should also be mentioned that the Harden trade will now go down as probably the worst in NBA history. They went from a probable dynasty to nothing at all primarily because of one move.

I hate the guy as a player, but Draymond would be the last person I'd question to be in that spot right now among those guys (especially after his game 7). Massive two-way impact player.

i wouldnt have a problem with this if there were more super teams to compete but theres just no talent in the league

The Brooklyn Nets roster might be making just as much as the Warriors and the talent couldnt be farther apart 50 million for Tyler Johnson vs 50 million for Kevin Durant and the talent gap is massive

most markets have to overpay for for players in a sport that arent good just to win 20 games while the 5 good teams pay the same or slightly more for the few good players

Draymond is the closest thing today statiscally to a modern day Pippen so Id say top 5 for sure and I hate the guy. If I was starting a franchise Id consider him if I was picking in the top 10 for sure

After completing one of the NBA's all-time greatest chokes, Durant goes to the same 73 win team that he choked to. Heel turns don't get much larger than that. That same 73 win team (who experienced one of their own all-time chokes) admits that they can't beat LeBron James without the help of a top 3 player in the league and the best player on their main conference rival. Quite the submission from a smug and self-satisfied group that seemed so sure that they were better than Jordan's Bulls until LeBron produced arguably the greatest Finals performance ever.

This move should also help further diminish the star of the overrated Steph Curry (which was becoming hilariously over-inflated prior to his game getting exposed in the playoffs) and make an already unlikable Warriors team even more hated. They will have a ton of pressure on them to be better than they were last year and that won't be easy to do (Durant or not).

After winning with Cleveland, LeBron is also now left with nothing to lose in a Finals matchup against such a team and everything to gain. He's already exerted his superiority over all of these guys that have teamed up against him and has nothing left to prove in the back half of his career. He'll be absolutely loving this too, I'm sure.

It's going to be a fun year.

Don't understand criticizing the Warriors here. They're job is to put together the best team possible. They've done a great job building their roster and have gotten very lucky along the way as well. Why wouldn't they go after the best players? If they win a ring, they will feel zero remorse. Doesn't help my Grizzlies in the least, but I'm still impressed they pulled it off.

Oh, no doubt. They have every right to get better to beat LeBron and should absolutely try to do so. Doesn't stop me from finding their self-satisfied arrogance last season even more hilarious now. The narrative has now changed with this team for good.
