Ultimately this is a Pyrrhic victory for me though. I've refused to buy into or become invested in this hog team. After tonight, I'm now liking them and wanting to see more. This will only lead to heartache for me.

It's possible the team is even worse than a season ago. I don't think any player on this year's squad is as good as J3 or Teki. Quote:
He's completely overmatched and unequipped to be the head guy at a D1 school. The only thing he's equipped to be at the D1 level is what Steve Shields does for him ... basically, manage game type stuff. No wonder Norm Stewart's teams went to shit in the mid-to-late 90s, with Mr. Personality Kim Anderson as the lead assistant.

I could only muster a hearty laugh at the thought we are even in the galaxy of the running for Michael Porter. |

He'll drag out his announcement as long as possible, to deflect heat from the family. The sad thing is, like Tyler Hansbrough and Brandon Rush, I think he does actually want to go to Mizzou, but the coaching situation is going to blow it up and ruin their chances. MAYBE if Mack Rhoades strikes quickly and gets Kelvin Sampson in for next season AND KS hires Michael Porter, Sr. as his lead assistant while paying him an exorbitant amount of money, Mizzou gets Porter to go there. But still unlikely, as his one year in college would be filled with ass-kickings.

"If Michael Porter was there for the 17-18 season, they would have Gant and Wright as seniors, and Phillips and Puryear as juniors, and that is the foundation for a good team." Sounds like a bunch of role players and a star to me. Not much different than Beasley at K-State. |

Except without another player as good as Jake Pullen or Bill Walker. That rationale is reeruned.

I'm not sure what good would be served by firing him midseason. But as the clock hits 00 in the first round of the SEC tournament? Yeah.

Jesus. What did Mizzou do in a past life?

Frank Haith is such a scumbag. Let's see if his boy Kim Anderson has any hot takes.

@JoeWalljasper: Missouri says it received a verbal NCAA notice of inquiry on April 14, 2014. Frank Haith took the Tulsa job four days later.
