Dorsey is a FAKE

Executive of the year? This is the same guy who had his choice of ANY player in college football and he drafted Eric Fisher. Your argument could be he traded for Alex Smith, but wasn't that Andy Reid's idea? Sean Smith, Marcus Cooper? Those pickups looked great for the first half of the year when we were playing quarterbacks like Jeff Tuel. Dunta Robinson looked like he had aids this year, another "big time FA signing." Travis Kelce, Nico Johnson, Sanders Commings, Eric Kush? I thought Dorsey was a gm who could find value at the top of the draft.

I have a bad feeling this year and next will resemble the 2010 and 2011 seasons. We do well and then the bottom drops out.

He's probably not good enough to be a LT without another year of development as a player -let alone one at such a critical position.

If the Chiefs are playing for Superbowls 3-4 years down the line it makes sense for him to take his lumps on the left side. If winning one next season is the goal then they have to put the best 5 men on the line and he played like a 6th or 7th best.

First, that's not his natural position, but that being said he adapted and improved. Second, have you seen our line situation for next year? Asamoah-FA, Albert-FA, Schwartz-FA

We're not set by a damn sight

Then the team should give up the pretense of playing for a 2014 championship and start building for the future.

and what conversation did they use to convince you of their intent of playing for a 2014 championship?

We drafted a cornerstone LT, this year he will play it. I see them moving hudson to guard and Kush taking over at c. Stephenson will be at RT and I'll be shocked if we don't resign Schwartz.

How do you know that?

1) LT is his natural position
2) His frame is better suited for Left Tackle
3) Last season, because of the new CBA, he barely had any chance to get the practice he needed. Could be one of the big reason why so many rookies struggled this year

Let him compete for the job, but it's a completely gut reaction to think he's that far away. I think a full offseason conditioning, access to the full coaching staff, and heal time will turn him into a different player

As of today, I feel WAY better about Stephenson at LT than Fisher, and frankly I'm not sure how anyone could feel differently.
Why the hell not? He was drafted to play LT. He started at RT because they couldnt move Albert. Why did he start ahead of Stephenson? Because he's a 1st rd pick. That is why he'll start at LT if Albert is gone.

And given what you saw to begin the year, THAT'S the asshole who ideally should have been protecting our shiny new QB's blindside?

So we should automatically assume that same player that started last year is going to be the same guy beginning this year??

That seems logical.

Did you also feel the same about Dontari Poe going into this year??

How about we give Fisher a full off season to get ready before we deem him not capable of starting at LT. He may surprise you. Poe certainly did.

And if he fails to progress, or gets injured, or regresses then what? You do realize that's 3 of the 4 possibilities for him, right? Just toss 2014 out the window and move on to 2015?

Ummm, isn't that pretty much the 'possibilities' for almost every young NFL player every year??

So should the philosophy be 'Never give the young guy with tons of potential a chance?'

Just always stick with the veteran or established player???

You don't have to be as strong to play left tackle and fisher instinctively knows the technique. That solves the majority of his problems right there.

Maybe that meant sitting on the bench. I haven't heard anybody comment yet, by the way, on how the new cba is making it incredibly difficult for rookies to adjust to the Nfl right away.
