Not just done with KC,done with the NFL

Yet another thread and I even went as far tonight that I gave away a very nice Chiefs coat and chiefs stocking cap at the party I was at.Also quit my fantasy football league and am renouncing the NFL as a whole.

Pro football is nothing more than pro wrestling only the stage is 50,000 times larger and the NFL just might get their Luck/Manning rematch and maybe even their Manning/Brady rematch.I ****ing hate to think this shit is rigged but at 51 I've seen much to much over the years and am done being made a fool of.

Oh and lastly this years pro bowl will be a fantasy draft, really, wake the **** up people we're watching another form of Hollywood where some of the actors are paid millions and some are just bit players.

Every time I read that aritcle I'm left to wonder if Len isn't at least part of the reason the football Gods hate KC. Had he been less accurate in his dealings with the FBI, might KC have been awarded a playoff win, or perhaps another super bowl, by the man behind the green curtain?

The article certainly makes anybody with a brain wonder. And the most damming past (at least for me) are the stances the NFL has taken in court. They don't even try to sell it as a legit sport. I can see defending your product "with a vengeance" but they don't even say it's not rigged, but simply say that you got to watch the product so . When that wasn't even the question.... Hence me saying they always shift the argument to something that's not even at the heart of the argument. They play the shell game with the question, not the truth.

And I would TOTALLY like to see the NFL lose it's anti-trust exemption. That alone would seal the deal. And that's why I SOOOO badly want the defensive players to be represented by a different union. Not that the next one can't be just as taken as the current one, but adding another entity to the hush process would be helpful in making the NFL's charade continue. The anti-trust exemption would be #1, but it'll never happen just because it's right, it'll have to be put into place by other means.

Baseball should be next!

I've wondered that exact same thing about Lenny.

And yeah, I've been convinced that the fix is in for a couple years...but yesterday, any blinders I had before got ripped right the **** off.

and I'd LOVE for the NFL to lose their anti-trust...was hoping for it in '11, but...

I calmly ask you to back up the statement that I bolded. Don't give me an interpretation from a "The fix is in" website." Give me the actual statements made.

For those of us who were around for SB III and IV, it was pretty much an open secret that was discussed in barber shops, bars and churches that both games were fixed for the AFL so that the merger could go through. It's probably no coincidence that neither the Jets or the Chiefs have won squat since then either.

Wow.

I had kind of figured that was tied in. We sold our souls for the 'good of the league' - to make the AFL teams 'equal' to the original NFL teams, and to make the merger legitimate.

No wonder Joe Namath's drunk ass was so cocky with his 'guarantee.'

And Shula's reward for throwing the Championship??

the only Perfect Season.

Pure speculation but if you get a chance read the book shown below,on page 22 the author talks about a strike "deemed the 2nd worst in KC history" which caused construction of Arrowhead to drag on and on.At one point he even says the Chiefs for incentive gave the union workers 2000 tickets for them and their families to be guests on opening day at the new stadium.

Again it's pure speculation and open for discussion, draw your own conclusions if any.

The main reason I question shady happenings as far as the Chiefs go is Lamar's ability to buy a championship if it were possible. Money can buy anything and if he wanted to he probably could rig it (and wouldn't suffer years of bottom dwelling.)

Bingo.

Let them win a couple to legitimize the merger and then punish them for the rest of eternity for taking on the mighty NFL.

You had one of the greatest turn around seasons in history but it's rigged? Quit now and what will you do when kc wins a playoff game or two? Don't sell your investment low...
