God I hope he makes another movie. Please don't let that be the last one.

I just watched it too. I liked it quite a bit. This is probably a little too obscure but I while I was watching it I wondered if anyone else drew any comparisons to a book, and later a movie, called The Pawnbroker (the movie starred Rod Steiger, who received an Oscar nomination for his role). There's a lot of similarities.

Watched Body of Lies last night.
Bad accents and all, it was entertaining. I did have a problem with the story, hopefully American spies aren't falling in love with chicks and giving a damn. |

I watched The Day the Earth Stood Still and City of Men the last couple of nights.
DtESS wasn't great, but not so bad that I wanted to turn it off. It was obviously trying to make a point, but there wasn't that "AHA!" moment that I was hoping for somewhere along the way. 2 out of 5 stars IMO. City of Men wasn't as good as City of God, but still entertaining and worth a watch. Similar in style of course, and similar characters for that matter. 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. |

Say what you will about Tom Cruise, but I watched The Last Samurai last night (finally)... wow. I'm sure this film has been discussed in the previous 178 pages, but oh well. ****ing great movie.

Great movie. I liked the guy who played 'Katsumoto' better than Cruise though.

Watched The Uninvited yesterday.
I thought it was decent, well made and acted. I usually don't like this kind of "scary" movie, I'm more of a gore tits movie person, but this was done well and was a decent Netflix rent. |

I saw "The Taking of Pelham 123" a few days ago. That movie was flat awful.
If you'd told me beforehand that John Travolta and Denzel Washington could ever co-feature in a film this terrible I would've called you a liar.

"Cruel Intentions" is on. Wasn't that loosely based on "Dangerous Liaisons"?

I hate Tom Cruise, and his acting was "meh" in a couple parts, but overall did a decent job on the film. Please note that I am not familiar with how historically accurate the film is. But it was damn entertaining. Posted via Mobile Device |
