Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

He seems to forget Axel wasting Crabtree's talents for 3 years before Kaepernick turned him into an elite wide receiver judging by production.

Guy has serious fanboy issues, kind of sad.

And that year, he was. Another receiver that went on to higher production after leaving Smith.

Great point!

Oh man. Just watched the Jets game. Geno had a really nice outing. Made some great throws , used his legs really well.

He's already improved a lot from preseason.

GIFs tomorrow!

This was Geno's first NFL pass. BAZINGA, BITCHES.

Staring down his target and bounce bounce bounce before throwing.

Did it on the Winslow TD as well.

With protection and space most QBs succeed.

Quick, smart decisions with accurate throws are why good QBs are good.

Looks like the idiotic defense the Bears rolled out in Kaepernicks first start. They expect that to work vs. anyone above Tebow level of passing ability?

That looked shockingly like a Chocolate Matt Cassel.

Bad footwork and still late getting the ball to a guy open by 5 yards.

Guys that gif is horrible. 20 yard passes need to be flawless every time. And if they're not, then Geno just sucks. Even if the pass is complete.

The alternate angle is really great. He's waiting for Kerley to clear the defender. He throws the ball with great anticipation of Kerley breaking open. Just a doozy of a throw for your first NFL snap.

Also, the Jets offensive line is really good. They played well against Tampa and Geno had time to throw mostly. Great asset going forward for Geno.
